THE NEW JOOLZ BLOG
Following the lead of artist Kerry Bogert, whose blog is read by hundreds of fans around the world, I have created a new blog that will give more frequent updates about the fabulous JOOLZ inventory, our artists, local events and other subjects that appeal to me. We have a link to the blog through the JOOLZ website, but you can also go directly to www.shopjoolz.blogspot.com. I’ll continue to send out less frequent newsletters to those on the list.

I’ve also discovered RSS feeds and now get updates sent to my computer from news organizations, blogs and other websites that I have chosen (nothing comes in unsolicited). It’s a painless way to get the latest info from your favorite sites without having to go to each one. Just look for the orange RSS icon on your toolbar or on a website and then follow the instructions.

Downtown Canandaigua Wine Walk
Saturday, August 2nd
The Canandaigua Downtown Merchants Association, together with the Canandaigua Wine Trail, is sponsoring a Wine Walk through downtown on the first Saturday of the month. Beginning in June with 75 participants and blossoming in July to 180 participants, the next Wine Walk will be this Saturday, August 2 from 4–6pm. The fee is $5 per person and participants can sample wines at several different venues along Main Street. You can start at any of the participating stores and then follow the trail of purple balloons; you’ll learn about the different wines offered by the Canandaigua Wine Trail wineries while discovering the great shops/restaurants in town.

JOOLZ was part of the first Wine Walk in June and will be part of this Saturday’s Wine Walk, too. In June we had lots of visitors from out of town that had come to Canandaigua for the Allison Krauss/Robert Plant concert that evening. This Saturday is the last RPO concert of the summer at CMAC and the Wine Walk is a great way to start off a fun evening in the Finger Lakes. Hope to see you then!

Thompson Hospital Guild Fashion Show
Thursday, August 21st
JOOLZ has been invited to participate as one of the Thompson Guild Fashion Show boutiques on August 21st. Several area merchants will set up shop at Bristol Harbour, the site of this year’s fashion show, bringing with them wonderful pieces from their diverse inventories. Taking JOOLZ on the road will be a challenge, but we’re up for it! And I have enlisted a couple of friends to help me out that day, so Suzanne can continue to hold the fort at the store on Main Street.
