HOLIDAY ART WALK NOV. 7TH, 8TH AND 9TH
Canandaigua’s Holiday Art Walk will be held the weekend of November 7th, coinciding with the Granger Homestead’s 2nd Annual Christkindl Market—tents on the big lawn of the Homestead, lots of vendors selling handcrafted items, food vendors offering tasty treats, musicians playing holiday music and the Festival of Trees inside the mansion.

Further down Main Street Canandaigua’s galleries and boutiques will host the annual Holiday Art Walk. Stroll along the wide sidewalks and discover exciting art and charming boutiques, all decorated for the holiday season. A shuttle will make the loop between the Homestead and downtown, so no need to worry about parking. All of Main Street will be ready for visitors, including JOOLZ, where we will feature a…

LIZ BROWN TRUNK SHOW ON SATURDAY, NOV. 8TH
Artist Liz Brown of Duck Harbor Design will be at JOOLZ on November 8th from 11am – 4pm. Working with wonderful organic stones, Liz designs necklaces, bracelets and earrings that are wearable at any age. Her work has been featured at the Clothesline Sale and at the Waterfront Show at Kershaw Park, among others. And it’s hugely popular at JOOLZ. Here’s her necklace, It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green:

ADD OUR BLOG TO YOUR FAVORITES
Our JOOLZ blog (www.shopjoolz.blogspot.com) is a hit and has had over 1000 visitors! I post there at least a couple of times a week -- that’s the place to find out what’s new in the shop, right when it happens. I’m trying to post images of the joolz, too – you read about them, you see images of them, you come visit them, you fall in love with them. It’s a win-win. Here are some of our newest additions:

TAHMI DESCHEPPER OF FAIRFIELD, IOWA

Queen’s Flower Bracelet

Tahmi works with Argentium sterling silver (essentially tarnish-free) and gold-filled handmade links that she forms into great-looking necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Her work is classic but updated, like so many of our JOOLZ customers. She also has designed a clasp that makes it easy to put on the jewelry without assistance from another pair of hands.

SHIRLEY PRICE OF VILLA PARK, CALIFORNIA

Secrets Neck Collar

The first of Shirley’s neck pieces was sold within 2 hours of its being placed on display, an indication of the appeal of her designs. Shirley works with highly polished cabochons, sterling and fine silver and her signature single pearl, creating bold but somehow understated works of art.

JUDI MCCORMICK OF MANCHESTER, VERMONT
Thanks to my sister-in-law, Peggy, for finding the work of Judi McCormick while on a trip to Vermont. A former clothing designer, Judi has taken her eye for color and style and transferred it from clothing to jewelry. She loves to work with pearls and brilliant gemstones and has sent us a collection of drop-dead beautiful pieces. She’s especially known for her Stained Glass earrings:
