THE LATEST FROM JOOLZ...
December 2007
The holiday season is upon us, and we’re excited to share our fabulous joolz with all our customers. The cases are overflowing with new pieces by artists from across the US and Canada. Here’s the latest:
We’re planning a Men’s Night on December 12th – evening hours, a glass of wine, gift wrapping… come in ahead of time to put your favorites on your Wish Lists and then send your guys to JOOLZ for painless shopping…
We’ve welcomed two new artists to JOOLZ – Linda Connor Cass and Gretchen Gray. Linda is from Fairport, NY and works with all kinds of beads. She especially likes to use found objects and then stitches beads around their edges, producing interesting and unique pendants that are incorporated into stunning necklaces. Linda has also brought us Czech glass and Swarovski crystal dragonfly necklaces – very affordable and charming – perfect for a stocking stuffer.
Gretchen Gray is actually two women, Robin Gretchen Scott from Fargo, ND and Mia Gray King from Minneapolis, who are long-time friends and now business partners. I found their work while on a trip to Sedona, Arizona in October, and searched them out. We’ve just received a large shipment from them…fabulous and dramatic necklaces, many of which feature rough-cut stones. They’re eye-catchers, for sure.
Larry and I went to the Toronto One of a Kind show after Thanksgiving, and were able to visit with Canadian artists Lisa Ridout, Anat Basanta, Erin Tracy, Judi Patson and Jo-Anne Critchley Browne. We’re so pleased to have work from each of them at JOOLZ, and look forward to adding several new Canadian artists in the spring.
We wish you all a wonderful holiday season, and hope you will visit us in Canandaigua when you are thinking of gifts of joolz for your family and friends. We're going to stay open until 7pm on Saturday, December 22, will be open on Sunday, December 23 from 12-4pm and then will be closed on December 24th, reopening on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
